Are you passionate about grassroots governance, public policy, and sustainable development? The Institute of Social Sciences (ISS) invites motivated individuals with a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification to apply for unpaid internships that offer rich learning and the opportunity to contribute to real-world impact.
Our research and fieldwork focus on key areas of national importance:
- Rural Transformation and Panchayati Raj Institutions
- Urban Growth Hubs and Urban Local Bodies
- Multilevel Federalism and Public Policy Innovation
- Social Enterprises and Sustainable Development
- Climate-Smart and Community-Based Disaster Management
Interns are expected to commit a minimum of two months, working on field-based or desk-based research. Extensions are possible based on interest and project needs. Please note: this is an unpaid internship.
As an ISS intern, you will:
- Work closely with experienced researchers and policy practitioners
- Contribute meaningfully to ongoing studies and field initiatives
- Gain deep insights into governance, development, and institutional change
